Insertion Lace Workshop-SITU-U Invitation

SITU University is pleased to present:

Insertion Lace Workshop!

Sunday, July 8, 2018  |  12-4 p.m.
Sunday, July 22, 2018 | 11am-6pm

Summer is a great time for the perfect white Victorian blouse. And the perfect blouse, is batiste with lace insertion! So we’re going to make one.

Join SITU-U’s Lace Insertion Workshop.  It will be in two parts, the first Sunday we’ll learn how to do lace insertion, and the second Sunday we’ll make the blouse.

All fabric, lace, pattern, thread, and some equipment will be supplied as part of your kit. Participants will be expected to bring basic sewing equipment, and their sewing machine. A Supply List will be sent out to participants before the class via email.

# It is expected that participants are able to know how to use a pattern.  This is not a basic sewing class.

You have a choice from the following blouse patterns:

Folkwear Pattern:

This Gibson Girl is the most complicated pattern, but it includes the insertion design.

1890’s Pattern:

This 1890’s Blouse is the simplest to sew, and allows the most creativity, since the seamstress will design the lace insertion pattern for it.

Front-Closure Pattern:

This style is for those that prefer a blouse that opens down the front. It allows the most variety of design with choices of collars and sleeves. It also allows the seamstress to design her own lace insertion pattern.

Payment via PayPal:

$40.00
