Step back in time and experience the elegance of the Edwardian era as SITU members join with the Edwardian Society of Oregon for a most delightful day upon the rails in Portland, Oregon SITU Guests, attired in their finest Edwardian fashions, are invited to gather for a unique heritage experience beginning in Portland.
. The day’s engagements will commence with a individually purchased lunch served in a vintage railway dining car at a restaurant located just steps from the Oregon Rail Heritage Center boarding site—setting the tone for an afternoon of refinement and camaraderie.
SITU members will travel to Portland and arrive at 12:30pm at Tilikum Station for lunch and afterward will tour the museum. At 3pm we will board the train just steps away for a 45min train ride. This event is in coordination with the Edwardian Society of Oregon. Everyone purchases their own ticket for the train ride, museum and lunch.
Following lunch, attendees will enjoy a self-guided tour of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region’s rich railroading history and beautifully preserved locomotives.
The highlight of the day will be a scenic excursion aboard a historic train, where passengers may fully immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and social pleasures reminiscent of early 20th-century travel. RSVP is required for this Event!

**For those wishing to overnight in Portland, the following day we will be riding the Willamette Shore Trolly with the Edwardian Society of Oregon. Afterward we can indulge in a delightful ice cream gathering just steps away. Please purchase Willamette Shore Trolley tickets ASAP (they sell out quickly) for the 12pm trolley ride round-trip. FYI: It is very important to purchase a round-trip ticket, or you will be going one way to Portland. There will be more information to follow regarding hotels, etc.
