COME JOIN US FOR AN AFTERNOON FILLED WITH LAUGHTER, DRAMA, GOOD FOOD, AND FRIENDS…
"Ladies and gentlemen, please stand by!"
Before the microphones go live and the red-light flashes “ON AIR”, we invite you to gather on March 22nd, 12:30–3:30 pm, as friends once did – around a shared table. Come dressed in the radio-era of the ’20’s to ’40’s. Costumes are not required but, as always, much appreciated.
Join us to visit, break bread, and enjoy good company before the afternoon’s broadcast begins. From the establishment’s offerings, you may order your no-host luncheon and refreshments directly from the menu. Each guest will settle their own tab. We encourage you to arrive promptly and place your order before the show begins, so that when the signal sounds… all will be ready.
Then, from our studio comes a program unlike any other – a return to the Golden Age of Radio, when stories traveled by sound alone and imaginations did the rest.
A radio drama takes to the airwaves – a hard-boiled mystery starring Sam Spade, brought to life through voices, footsteps, and the steady rise of suspense.
After the mystery is solved and applause fades… continue to stay tuned. You’ll hear a sparkling comedy once performed by Lucille Ball before her days in “I Love Lucy.” It’s filled with quick banter and laughter, bright enough to cut through radio static.
These radio plays will be performed live, just as they would have been in the classic radio era – complete with announcers, actors, and studio sound effects created before your very ears.
So join us for a fun-filled afternoon!
