(Pattern layout, cutting, construction)
Join us in this Workshop to make your own Edwardian Corset Cover, a foundational garment for every costumer’s wardrobe.
Corset covers were used over a corset to ensure a smoother line under clothing. They also kept your corset clean.
Students will build a simple corset cover using the Edwardian Corset Cover pattern from Black Orchid Atelier.
This corset cover is patterned from an extant corset cover. The instructions offer optional embroidery directions for the front neckline,
as well as optional pigeon-front directions and notations for placement.
This workshop is one of a series of workshops SITU has scheduled for 2024 to help you build your
costuming wardrobe, with an emphasis on the Edwardian period.
Professor Violet is a long-time Somewhere in Time, Unlimited (SITU) Member and experienced costumer, and she has
taught historical costuming in the Pacific Northwest for many years .
You must be a paid 2024 SITU Member to take this Workshop.
This workshop is limited to ten students. We will wait-list as needed.
