The world-famous miser is dead, to begin with…and Sherlock Holmes is seeing ghosts. Retired after Moriarty’s death, Holmes is pulled back into action because of a missing gem, strange visions, and a ghostly visitor. With help from Scrooge and a host of other beloved characters, Holmes unravels a twisty tale of Christmas carols and confections in this witty, heartwarming, and surprising mashup of Dickens and Doyle.
SITU invites you to attend a performance of “A Sherlock Carol” at Taproot Theatre.
We have secured a limited number of discounted tickets for this performance. SITU Members, Guests, and Friends are invited. “A Sherlock Carol” is being presented by Taproot Theatre in North Seattle, December 20, 2025.
So, please join us for this holiday-season outing. Enjoy the play with your SITU Friends and enjoy a bit of mystery with a touch of Christmas Cheer!
The costume era is late Victorian or Edwardian. Be aware the theatre is small, so please no bustle or large hats. Costumes are appreciated but not required.

What to wear:
This play is set in the Edwardian period. We’d love to encourage you to wear your favorite Victorian/ Edwardian attire. (NO large hats or bustles.) Should you not have such attire in your armoire, then “all-black” is always appropriate. Please, NO jeans.
