"West Seattle & Seafair Parade"
Attendance – Open to Pulic, SITU Members, & Friends!

Join SITU Members and Friends as OBSERVERS for this parade
Those of us who wish to be observers for this event, we will be in position early, by about 9-9:30am along the parade route “downtown”. Invite your friends to come too!
Bring your folding chair, cooler of snackies, and get ready to stand and cheer when you appreciate something in the parade.
Costuming is not required Lady Victoria plans to come dressed in 1950’s attire for convenience and comfort. If you don’t have something evocotive of the 50’s, you are welcome to join in the fun of the day!

"Independence Parade & Celebration"

The small town of Steilacoom, WA celebrates our country’s 250th birthday with a parade!
Those of us who wish to be observers for this event, will be in position by 11am along the parade route “downtown”. Invite your friends to come too!
Bring your folding chair, cooler of snackies, and get ready to stand and cheer when you appreciate something in the parade.
Costuming is not required Lady Victoria plans to come dressed in 1776-1780’s attire in red/white/blue. If you have something evocotive of 1700’s you are welcome to wear that or simply wear red/whi/blu to join in the fun of the day!

Invite your friends to come too! Costuming is not required, but if you have something evocotive of 1700’s you are welcome to do so.
Tickets will go on sale in May for opening night. We are hoping for tickets at either Southcenter’s AMC, or Oat Tree near Northgate.

Don’t miss this year’s garden specials created just for today’s tour. Eight private gardens: each location offers a distinct personality, from a small French-style garden to a beautiful 100% self-sustaining estate. New this year, four of the eight gardens are neighbors whose properties flow together seamlessly
Invite your friends to come too! Costuming is 1920’s (or ease of navigating yards and dealing with potential heat), but if you don’t have something already available, wear something “evocative of the era” – it’s no problem.

A new exhibition at the Washington State History Museum (WSHM) showcases an era of rapid change in American history through fashion. Dressing the Gilded Age: Fashion from the 1870s to the 1910s will be on view through February 15, 2026. The exhibition explores how clothing helped introduce new ideas about social, political, and technological progress.
