Those of us who wish to be observers for this event, we will be in position early, by about 9-9:30am along the parade route “downtown”. Invite your friends to come too!
Bring your folding chair, cooler of snackies, and get ready to stand and cheer when you appreciate something in the parade.
Costuming is not required Lady Victoria plans to come dressed in 1950’s attire for convenience and comfort. If you don’t have something evocotive of the 50’s, you are welcome to join in the fun of the day!

The small town of Steilacoom, WA celebrates our country’s 250th birthday with a parade!

Tickets will go on sale in May for opening night. We are hoping for tickets at either Southcenter’s AMC, or Oat Tree near Northgate.

A new exhibition at the Washington State History Museum (WSHM) showcases an era of rapid change in American history through fashion. Dressing the Gilded Age: Fashion from the 1870s to the 1910s will be on view through February 15, 2026. The exhibition explores how clothing helped introduce new ideas about social, political, and technological progress.
